VIEW FROM ABOVE
While on a plane and about to touch down in New York City, I looked out of the window and was rewarded with an aerial view of city blocks. The intersecting shapes and industrial colors inspired me to paint "View From Above" upon my return. That dark and earthy brown and deep navy color felt suitable to capture the depth and excitement of the New York City landscape. — Elyse Katz
