Working With the Studio
Which areas does Laura Brophy Interiors work in?
We design new builds and whole-home remodels throughout Orange County, including Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, Dana Point and Irvine, as well as in Los Angeles and select projects beyond California.
When should we bring an interior designer into a new build?
Ideally during early architectural drawings, before plans are finalized, so layout, millwork, lighting and material decisions are made alongside the architect rather than after construction begins.
Do you work on whole-home remodels as well as new construction?
Yes. Most of the homes on this page are full-scale remodels, from a mid-century house on the Balboa Peninsula to a Mediterranean home in Irvine, alongside new builds in Dover Shores and Laguna Beach's Bluebird Canyon.
Do you show every project you're working on?
No. Several residences are underway privately and are never shown, at their owners' preference.
Begin a Commission
We take on a small number of new builds and whole-home remodels each year, most often alongside the architect from early drawings onward.
